We would like to give a huge HUGE ! thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout 2011 ! it has been an epic year for S.M.I ! Our confidence continues to grow and the Vibes continue to spread…..Weather it has been up @ the O2, Ripping it up in Pompey or just rocking a Party we would like to say cheers for listening ! Keep your ears open in 2012 as we have big plans,new sounds and Bigger shows on the horizon.
We have made alot of new friends and familly over the last year…Big shout outs to Future Music Publishing,The Live and unsigned team, Bigtopp,Skaraman,Dabnuts promotions,Project 47,Jack Presto,Herbal Skateboards,Harvey Mills photography,Culture cuts and anyone who has booked us,or spread the word !

December Sessions @ the O2

We had an awesome night up in the ol dome again ! pulled in a good audience who were dancing along and chanting for more ! Loved it ! plus free food,drink n beer ! Awesome. We also found out on the day that Shaun Ryder cancelled his tour so that was a bit of a downer but all in all we had a great weekend together and grew stronger as a unit ! Big up to Sylvia for all her work on the show and thanks to the December sessions crew for making us feel welcome.

You can now buy our debut album on Itunes and other download sites..WOOOO. It is priced at £7.99 as this is the cheapest you are allowed to set an album online, single tracks are 79p. You can still buy Albums from us in person or at shows for £5 plus you get the case, artwork,booklet etc etc.

Dabsfest.South Parade Pier, Awesome !

A huge thank you to all the fans and fam who rocked the dancefloor ! One of the best shows we have played fo sure ! Big props to Dabsfest Promotions for the slot and Asa at soundbarrier systems for the sound wizardry. We made some good connections and saw alot of good bands ! especialy Bigtop and Skaraman ! awesome local bands ! check em out !…… It was a good venue and felt great to rock the show with the twinkle of the Isle of wight behind us……

Back @ the O2 ? Hell yeah ! 12th of December

SO….we are ecstatic to announce that we are back @ the O2 in the Piazza ! only this time we have a half hour set with Duran Duran toping the bill !! crazy….after rocking the O2 in July @ the indigo I dont think we imagined that we would be back under the dome so soon ! Awesome. This time we have a half hour set too instead of 3 mins so plenty of time to get comfortable ! cant wait for this one ! epic

Pay Day Publishing

We are delighted to reveal that we have managed to acquire a Publishing contract for our tune Pay Day which has come about due to our expsosure and winning perfomance at the live and unsigned competition. The track will now be pushed out to Radio,Tv,Adverts,Film etc etc and hopefully will gain some interest for us ! woop woop.

Debut Launch Party

A huge huge thank you to local Photographer,Ledgend and close friend Harvey Mills who designed and put together all the album artwork….we are so pleased with the result ! Big up yourself !
It was so good to see so many people from our past,present and future all rocking out,dancing and coming together to enjoy the vibes ! That is what the S.M.I.’s are all about,good people letting loose and having a great time to some raw, live, heartfelt music….
It felt fitting to hold the event right @ home in the heart of Hayling as we all felt confident and passionate about showing our home and fam a real good time, plus it will always be our base and foundation. The core of the S.M.I. sound was born,shaped and moulded with the help of the island, the south coast and its community and is a constant inspiration for us. We also managed to get two more awesome gigs and some good contacts out of this show !
We are happy with the C.D.and chuffed that we can now go promote it and get it out there but also move onto the next one ! we have so much more to give and will keep on creating more fresh jams for ya’ll . You can purchase the Album for £5 by getting into contact with us on this site on Facebook or by givng us a call. As soon as we have got it up online for download etc we will let you all know….

A big thanx to the crew who made it out on a Thursday night ! good skillz !
A few of us managed to stick to the fancy dress theme ! which was fun ! I finally got to achieve my teenage dream of being a metaler wih long hair I could headbang with….Loved it.
Cheers to Nick Stokes of Zebedee events who put us on the bill
Also there was a couple of dudes filming the set who got interviews with Ad n J outside after the show, they said they will get hold of us on Facebook when the editing is done so keep eyes peeled for that !

Album Launch

Debut Album launch
Finally ! after a long road with many ups and downs and much blood sweat and tears ! We have decided on a release date for our debut Album ! It will be held at the Hayling commuity center for all of our nearest and dearest making it real easy for everyone to stumble home……The bar will be open and the tunes will be pumping !!! Tickets £3 and Albums likely to be priced @£5. There will be more acts which we will put up here shortly ! We want this to be a big one so please come along if u aint heard us before and fancy catching some heavy nu music. Peace.
